lens compatability

Post by clippo » Wed Sep 30, 2009 4:01 am

hi all - considering getting myself a Canon 70-300mm IS lens in the near future as the longest lens I currently own is my Tamron 90mm macro!

Just wondering, does anyone know if this lens is usable on a panosaurus at over 200mm?

Shouldn't be a huge issue. I've seen people use the Nikon and Canon 70-200 f/2.8 IS/VR lenses on it. You may need to give it a little bit more support, but you should be fine. But, to be perfectly honest, I wouldn't walk away from it, but I wouldn't walk away from any camera on a tripod.

thanks Brian - hope to report back on this but have to raise funds to buy the lens first!
