FileLister creates a text file containing a list of files located in sub-folders of a parent folder. You can select how many levels of sub-folders you want to search. For example, if you select c:\parent and tell FileLister to scan folders one level deep, it will will create a list of all the files in c:\parent\child1\, c:\parent\child2\, c:\parent\child3\, etc. Filelister can be directed to include only those files that are in subdirectories one, two or three levels deep, or all levels beneath the selected directory. FileLister can search for all files, image files, any user selected type. Here is a sample file created by FileLister.
FileLister is designed to facilitate the creation of a text file that can be used to create a "slideshow" using image viewer programs such as Irfan View (http://stud1.tuwien.ac.at/~e9227474/). Irfan view allows you to import the text file created by FileLister to generate a slideshow. FileLister can also be used to generate a text listing of any files on a hard-drive and is more flexible than standard DOS commands since it allows you to select how many levels of sub-directories should be scanned.
FileLister was written in Visual Basic 6 and requires the latest Visual Basic runtime files to operate. If you need them, you can get them here.
FileLister is freeware, but I'd appreciate an e-mail if you use it and like it.
